No Characters
Chinese characters are a beautiful and rich aspect of the Chinese language, but they dramatically complicate the learning process for beginners. Instead, we’ll be using Chinese romanization, or pīnyīn, so we can focus on learning how to speak in way less time than typical Chinese courses take.

There’s no shortcut to getting fluent in Chinese, but too often Chinese courses confuse or bore with outdated and irrelevant teaching material. Instead, we’ll be learning how to say useful stuff from Day 1, and your “homework” will consist of chatting with Chinese people online.
